JCTRA Work Party Volunteer Information Page

This is where you can find information about volunteering for motorized trail maintenance work parties in the Jones Creek OHV Area located in the Yacolt Burn State Forest.

The Jones Creek Trail Riders Association (JCTRA) in cooperation with the Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR), holds monthly motorized trail maintenance work parties focusing on the Jones Creek ATV and Dirt Bike (OHV) trail system. These work parties are open to the public and volunteers are encouraged to come out and spend a day helping to maintain the trails we all ride. Without volunteer efforts these trails simply would not exist to provide the public with a safe and enjoyable motorize trail riding experience.

The Department of Natural Resources has completed a planning process which has yielded a 10 year recreation plan for the Western Yacolt Burn State Forest (Jones Creek area). When completed the plan will allow for the building of approximately 64 miles of new motorized trails including approximately 34 miles of two track (ATV), 10 miles of single track (Dirt Bike), and 30 miles of 4X4 (truck/jeep)trails. An additional staging area and campground built for motorized users is part of the plan along with more non-motorized trails and improved facilities.

Being primarily a Dirt Bike and ATV oriented club, JCTRA is focusing mainly on building of the ATV and Dirt Bike trails as part of the 10 year plan, however we look forward to combining efforts and resources with others including the 4X4 community and groups such as Pistons Wild which are primarily focused on 4X4 interests.
