2024 Hangover Cancelled

This is not the announcement we wanted to make, but this year’s Hangover (January 2024) is cancelled. Don’t get rid of those studded tires yet, though. We’re working to make a comeback next year and hope to see you all there. In the mean time, come help us build new trails next summer, and be watching for other Jones Creek happenings throughout the year.

Thank you to our Sponsors

Shout out to the business community that sponsored the Hangover-that-didn’t-happen this year. The businesses you see scrolling below stepped up to help, and even though we didn’t get to race this New Year’s Day, we want to let them know their generous, continued support of our sport is so very much appreciated.

Please be sure to mention that you saw them here when you visit these businesses, or drop them a note in thanks. Every mention makes a difference in helping to keep riding and racing alive.

Hangover Scrambles Canceled

Sadly, it’s true… We regret having to inform you that we’ve been forced to cancel the Hangover Scrambles due to our insurance being canceled. We’ve been trying for some time to secure a replacement policy and believed it would work out, but being down to 2 days before racing starts with no insurance, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to cancel.

Please be assured that we will be promptly refunding fees if you pre-registered for the race. Pre-registered racers should be seeing Paypal refunds starting today. If you pre-registered and instead choose to donate your fees to help us offset event expenses we can’t recover, please email HOS@JCTRA.ORG and let us know. Other donations of any amount would also be appreciated and can be made by clicking the Donate button in the sidebar.

The Jones Creek Trail Riders are still here to protect your riding rights in the Yacolt Burn forest, and deeply regret having to cancel our biggest event of the year. Please keep an eye out for other club activities throughout the year here on our website and Facebook page, and we hope to see you out on the trails.

New Hangover Activities This Year –

We are also handing out trophies for Best Costume in each moto. Pack up your best tutu, Superman suit or Ninja Turtle costume – we want to see ’em! You have to start your moto in your costume to be eligible. Best costume that takes the green flag gets the trophy, to be judged by JCTRA staff.

Hangover Time!

Go to the Hangover page to get registered and see all the details for this year.

End of WA/OR ATV sticker reciprocity

Do you ride in Oregon?  If so, note that recent law changes require that everyone (that means us WA state riders) need to have OR ATV stickers.  OR residents must also get WA permits.

Oregon stickers can be purchased online for $10.  https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/ATV/Pages/ATV-overview.aspx

WA sticker info at https://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistration/watv.html

A big thank-you to The Today Foundation!

The Today Foundation encourages athletics and outdoor youth activities.  We are going to apply their generous donation of $1,000 to revitalizing the kids riding area next to the staging area. Watch our facebook page for work party dates.  We will be fixing fencing, adding signage, grooming the trails, etc.  Bring your kids to help test out our changes!
